How will the EU ensure a Green Transition? Fit For 55 and Turkey

The European Green Deal (EGC) is also on the agenda of trade as a growth strategy that aims to make the European Union (EU) a climate-neutral continent by 2050. One of the EU’s efforts to create the necessary transformation to tackle climate and environmental challenges is the Fit for 55 package of legislative proposals published in July 2021. In this context, the EU aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030 compared to 1990 and plans to implement the Border Carbon Deregulation Mechanism (BCDRM) to reduce carbon leakage in the EU region. The CCSM will start with the reporting of greenhouse gas emissions for five energy-intensive sectors.

On Tuesday, 05.04.2022, between 15:00-16:30, the “How will the EU Ensure the Green Transition? Fit for 55 and Turkey” webinar will provide information on topics such as EQM, Fit for 55 and SDCC.
